Re: Red and White Fortnight

I had an idea, sounded good when I was talking to some mates but I will let you mull it over, reject it if you want, Why not try to get as many 44yr olds as you can and give them free tickets to the game, should be good photo opportunity either as they go in or at half time.
Have a compitition with the prize as the first person to be allowed in to the ground on our first home game with Eric greeting him as he comes in, this won't cost Eric anything and it would be a great advertisment.

Re: Red and White Fortnight

first thing in the morning reading that I thought 'here's a 44 year old trying to blag a free ticket'.

but I've re-read it and now it makes sense, yeah I like it Bazf. Forwarded to the club

dont forget your stanley shirts to wear today if you're going into town. Peepers open everybody and see if we get any sort of increase in Stanley-ness

Re: Red and White Fortnight

had a walk around town at 12;30. Nobody has really bothered with anything yet. There is still monday as I would have thought that most businesses would be busy yesterday and today so monday would be most likely if at all.

However, the Curtain and Bedding shop next to the Yorkshire Bank on Blackburn Road has given us half of their shop frontage with shirt, scarf etc and a good luck Stanley banner. Age Concern Shop on Whalley Road/Water St has a full size display with old Stanley shirt, Barbados limited edition T-shirt (only about 15 printed), many older programmes, We're back non league paper edition, press cutting from the 10-1 against Lincoln. Real effort shown there and we should all take the two minutes to have a look at it and pop in if you can and tell em what you think of it.

Also I will be on 2BR in about 20 minutes

just been on and got a good 10 minutes publicity blast, fingers crossed now

Brilliant idea Bazf - oh ****** I've just missed out on that though as I had my 45th birthday this week. Ah well good luck on getting the idea past Eric

Nice piece on 2br this afternoon. The Gentleman did a good job at getting the word out, lets hope Accrington follows suite.

This is a good thing.

Re: Red and White Fortnight

We are with this campaign all the way, for me in both a professional and personal sense.

Fingers crossed there will be more on red and white fortnight for the next couple of weeks, both in news and general programming, as well as all the usual coverage on 2BR.

Hopefully together, we all truly can paint the town red...
