I would think so. It always seemed like a pointless competition to me. I doubt their was any financial incentives to it and it got in the way of some important league games last year even though we did enjoy moderate success until we met Stalybridge. Was there any need for 120 mins football plus penalties ahead of the most important fixtures of the season? - no.
