Request for **** ********
I have just finished my 5 mins on Radio Lancashire on the Fans Panel and I was amazed to be told by Phil from Radio Lancashire that he had received an anonimous text suggesting that John Coleman should go and make way for new management. I'll repeat here what I said on the Radio, John Coleman is a very good man manager who has the respect of many in football (eg Lee Mcevilly would happly play for JC anytime). The team has to be rebuilt after losing important players like Roberts and Craney and Boco is injured. So give JC a break and allow him to rebuild. He has a knack of finding gems so give him a chance. He needs support from the crowd on Saturday as does the team. Yopu have the right tto moan because you pay to watch Stanley, but you also want your team to do well so get behind them. Sorry for the rant... I feel better now!

Re: Request for John Coleman's Resignation
Fair point. I must admit i have been unhappy with some of the team selections (leaving certain players out etc) but the bloke's got us into the league and we we're doing ok until Roberts departure and now craney leaving has weakend us further (both departures being out of his hands) added to that the injury to Boco. Though i can't understand why Brown has been loaned out when we are threadbare. Coley will stop the rot, at the end of the day staying up is the main aim this season and we will build from there.

Re: Request for John Coleman's Resignation
No one else could do the job John Coleman and Jimmy Bell have done and will do at Accrington Stanley.

Re: Request for John Coleman's Resignation
Did they do a 1471
The number probably had a Hereford or Barrow code.

If it was a text
Then they have a mobile phone
Which can be tracked from space
And targeted by a deadly accurate laser.

Re: Request for John Coleman's Resignation
Despite the recent losing run, I have every confidence in John Coleman and his team. Reading as much as I can about the situation, he seems to have been very philosophical about recent events and in my opinion, has talked a lot of sense, though I know that not everyone agrees with everything he says (which is natural).
This is exactly the time when we should all be getting behind the team - not calling for his resignation - and shame on whoever it was who suggested that !!!
I truly believe that Stanley will move well away from the relegation zone and finish in midtable at the end of the season.

Re: Request for John Coleman's Resignation
Can't be a request from a true Stanley fan - he would've had the bottle to give his name if he was.
Many of the reasons for our recent run of bad luck are beyond Coley's control - Boco's injury, Cav's injury, Craney leaving, even Robert's leaving was probably more Eric Whalley's decision rather than Coley's.
In the last month or so we've signed half a dozen new players. Surely they need a bit of time to settle in with the existing squad.
It's totally wrong to even suggest Coley's resignation at this stage. Let's give him some encouragement and get behind him and the team.

Probably every supporter of the current bottom ten teams is saying exactly the same as you are, but, unfortunately somebody has to finish in the bottom two. Let's just hope that it is not us.

Re: Request for John Coleman's Resignation
While I certainly questioned his judgement on Saturday regarding the team selection, I agree that we shouldn't be calling for any resignations from the management. The teams been unsettled enough with so many changes happening in a short space of time.

Re: Request for John Coleman's Resignation
I hope Coley and Jimmy read our posts and realise that we're all united against the idiot who was too much of a sh*t house to give his name. Jimmy and John took us from the knowhere back to the Football League and taking 25 goals a season (Roberts/Craney) out of any team would be a real blow.
Give the new lads time to gel and get behind the lads over the busy Christmas period.

Re: Request for John Coleman's Resignation
I find it absolutely incredible that anyone should be seriously calling for Coley or Jimmy to be dismiissed - the same sort of bloody stupid knee-jerk reaction which actually occurs in the over-hyped Premiership whenever a team has a bad run. Coley always has, and always will have, to constantly re-invent the team given the operating conditions he has to work with. I think his (usually!) philosophical reaction to reverses is superb and his positive attitude to giving new players a stage to demonstrate their abilities is inspiring and shows a very mature and realistic approach.
Long may he reign!
It's not the playing side of the business which is lacking.

It isn't going to be us Jeff.
I feel sure that despite their recent form uplift, Macclesfield are definitely destined for the drop, and I have a hunch that Boston may well go with them (hope so ! ).
