Reserves

Hello friends
As ever, I'm on the scrounge...

I'm looking for a willing volunteer to cover reserve team games for the club's matchday programme and website.

All you'll need to do is:
1) go to as many home reserve games as physically possible
2) make a note of who plays, scores etc.
3) write a very short report on what happens in each game

In return you'll get:
1) into all home reserve games for nowt (if you aren't already a season ticket holder)
2) get some great experience (if reporting is summat you want to get into)
3) one pint of beer (or alternative beverage of equivalent value) from me per reserve game you report on (to be redeemed at first team home games of your choice)

Here's the small print - you don't have to have any experience and don't worry about the standard of English, spelling etc. (that'd be lovely, but not essential) the most important thing is enthusiasm.

Secondly, this is not an arrangement between ASFC and you, it's between ME and you - I'm asking for help as it's something I'd like to do but won't get the chance/time to do.

To summarise; if you want the chance to report on some footy and go to or want to go to reserve games, this could be a great chance.

For everyone else it's more than likely a hideous waste of messageboard space and five minutes of your life reading it...

Far from it Dan, I think you should be commended on trying to get more information to the fans from what is a largely ignored element of the club.

Youth team next eh ?

great idea Dan, I hope it gets some interest - mainly because I (and many others) would like to know about reserve team fixtures.
