Re: Retained list 2022.
Just because players are under contract / retained doesn't mean they will be with us next season.
Every player has his price.
I'm expecting pressure re Bishop Savin Sykes Pritchard Leigh.
At least club is in the driving seat for a change.
I wonder if the budget allows for any improved terms to be offered to certain players.

If any that you mentioned go for a decent price maybe then the budget will be increased but way Andy Holt has been talking on twitter about the impact and uncertainty for business,s with the war in Ukraine and the cost of living wouldn't expect too much.

Re: Retained list 2022.
A couple of questions about … ‘Contract Extensions Triggered’….?
Q1 Does this mean that these players are now fully signed up and under contract for another season?
Q2 Or do they still need to agree to their extensions and then sign up?
ie. For example, if Ross Sykes agrees to a transfer to another club will we get a fee to cover his ‘extended’ contract?

Hi Choirboy,
Q1 - Yes, they are under contract for at least another season.
Q2 - No, the option is decided by the club. Once 'activated' - if Ross was to be transferred to another club for example, he would be classed as under contract so highly likely a fee would be involved.

Thank you StanleyJosh.
Good news that we could get a transfer fee for any outgoing transfers.

Is that all back in the day we were lucky if we had a single player under contract going into the following season, still think the squad is a bit unbalanced too many midfielders Coleman's comments not mine we have good defender,s but can't defend collectavly, so can see defender or plus coming in.

Oh, sorry. You’re worried about 23/24 season!
I thought you were asking for “certain” players to be given more money for this coming season.

Correct, far, far too many midfielders, hence the reason we tried putting Harry up front....
Needs to be addressed!
