Re: Review on our pies

Chrisr - it's just more of the same. Beef, pork etc.

The world has changed. If Stanley is to attract a new breed of pie eaters it must serve saag paneer, mushroom risotto, chorizo and roasted red pepper filled pies.

No need for any fancy stuff - meat & tata for the carnivores, cheese & onion for the veggies -simples!

Why are people so wedded to the old ways? A pie should be a blank canvas for the artist chef to produce a wonder of exciting cuisine.

You'll be telling me you still eat baked beans plain next.

love baked beans and egg on toast. will be having mine shortly. totally sick of all the poncy food on offer nowadays with all fancy sauces covering them. only thing it does for me is giving me gut rot. if i get chicken or steak i want to taste it not some fancy made up stuff plus i want it cooking also, so no semi raw food or garlic allowed in this part of keighley.

There's a time & place for fancy cuisine (including weird pie fillings) but Imo at a football match isn't one of them, good old fashioned plain stodge is what's required.
Remember once going to an away game & they were selling candy floss!! I ask you, really??? Can't for the life of me recall where it was - suppose at least it wasn't in a pie but still. . . . . . .
