Smile Rob Elliott - Next Season

Hi there !

Please forgive my ignorance on the subject of players on loan from or loaned out to other clubs during the season.

I have read that Rob Elliott is on loan from Charlton this season. Is there any chance of him being able to play for Stanley again next season in League Div Two ?

He had a fantastic game against Woking yesterday and I for one would be very sorry to see him leave Stanley.

Thanks in advance !

Re: Rob Elliott - Next Season

Rob himself would love to stay at the club. Nothing is forthcoming from Charlton however so far, but he could come back on loan for the full season if a new contract was agreed between him & Charlton. Just hope Eric, John & Andy D can persuade Charlton to part with him & let him become a fully fledged Stanley keeper.

Re:Rob.

Someone in another post said Rob couldn't play for England because he's Irish. Is that not Randolph?

Robbie sure sounds English through and through, ableit with a southern accent.

I don't think that matters, didn't Giggs play for the England Youth team? Then again, could've been schoolboys...

Re: Rob Elliott - Next Season

Really hope Rob will/can stay, obviously all depends on Mr curbishley at Charlton.

with the form he has shown us this season tho i wouldent be surprised if he was in or around Charlton's 1st team squad next season if he gets another contract

Re: Rob Elliott - Next Season

I know there has been some debate about whether Robert Elliott can play for england or ireland so........

straight from the horses mouth at the match today...

OFFICIAL STATEMENT (lol)

He did play for Irish youth side as half his family are from Ireland. Due to personal reasons he would now if chosen in the future play for england which he is fully eligible to do!!!

Hope that clears any queries up
