Role of agents
Parasites in the modern game. What value do they add at our level of the game? Their fees have got to be paid from somewhere and clubs/players at our level could spend the money more usefully elsewhere.
Am aware we've paid little if any fees to agents over last 12 months or so, but why do players at our level even need agents. Use the PFA services and keep this much needed money in the game.

Re: Role of agents
Only yesterday the agents of a Glasgow Celtic player wanted £1 million for brokering "their" player in a deal to sign for Southampton, ridiculous. Brian Clough had the right idea, he wouldn't deal with agents, if a player wanted to play for him they dealt with him direct

Re: Role of agents
Happy to report the easiest report I do.
The annual return to the FA and FL for amounts paid to agents is a big fat NIL!!
Long may that continue

It goes a lot further down than that. Even the kids have agents these days.

Very praiseworthy, but it appears we have not yet made a single brand new signing for the new season, let alone secured the services of most of the "crown jewels" from last season, with one superb exception. Meanwhile our rivals Morecambe, Rochdale, Snakes etc. have all been very active in bringing in new players. Hopefully this will all soon change when Beats gets back from Portugal!

Re: Role of agents
Deary me, Chesterfieid sign the Scouce Pele, ( half budget gone), Fleetwood sign (???) and Morecambe sign Jack Sampson ( ) and Bury's Chairman (football knowledge??) declares he's happy with the first day of training!!!
Thank goodness we are being patient and taking our time.
Yes we need some additions, but we can sign players until the 2nd of September and 7 days later the loan window re-opens!!

Now, now Mr.T. Calm down. Morecambe have signed Will Bell, Marcus Marshall, Tony Diagne, Sampson and Alex Kenyon. All new signings and have a squad of 20 and looking for more. I'm not panicking yet by any means, but let's get the facts right!

Agree.
No need to panic, its still early.
We will be ready for the 3rd August, got to make sure we do the right deals for the club.
Peter Marsden and his team have proven me wrong and deserve our trust.
