Re: Rommy Boco

Taking of shirts. Why can’t we send over any left over stock from last season for the up in coming kids back home?

Bloody good for the club to let him play like that...on our national teams 3 match visit to England and Spain a couple of weeks ago,13 -14 players were not released by their clubs resulting in a "3rd X1" taking the field for those matches.Needless to say(except for 1-1 at the Valley) we were whacked.

Re: Rommy Boco

I've suggested previously that we should all donate old shirts to the club for Rommy or Julien to take back home (along with a lucky winner) to make a presentation to some local skintuns. Maybe we should aim to do it before his next home match.

Re: Rommy Boco

Nice (ish idea) Kiwi, but not as much publicity sending to a load of kids of mixed ability, background and fortune as sending to some outpost in Africa

I'm sure the club would do a discount for a bulk purchase though.

We have sent shirts abroad before to the under priveledged, Budmak took about 25 old shirts to Thailand the first time he went and they were presented to a bunch of kids whose school he was helping to rebuild after the tsunami.

Re: Rommy Boco

call me cynical but something like that is done for two reasons, 1 to help the poor people and 2 for publicity. I never saw any publicity.

Publicity would also have seen more shirts donated. Sorry again, but for me it is about looking for the angles
