Ronnie Moore sacked ....
expect some South Yorkies to come claim that Coley is going there now, as well as Port Vale

Re: Ronnie Moore sacked ....
It's going to happen sometime, especially with the ownership struggle still not resolved 2-3 weeks after it was meant to be 2-3 days. Hope he stays, but if he does go, I for one won't blame him. It's a consequence of being successful - people start to notice you, plus all the crap he has had to contend with from above.
Just hope when he does finally seek a challenge elsewhere, he doesn't raid the clud of all it's current talent - back to the borad again there (no long term contracts for the majority of the team) - Same old, same old every summer - the gems coley has unearthed are free to go for virtually nothing.

Re: Ronnie Moore sacked ....
I wouldn't worry too much about Coley going anywhere just yet! Remember moneybags Bradford couldn't afford him, so I cannot see the likes of Rotherham and Port Vale prising him away from the hallowed ground that is the Crown. And as was pointed out on another thread, Coley has now had a first hand sight of what happens when you go to these so called bigger clubs and don't get the results they demand. At least at Accy, we appreciate what he has done and wshile we have in the past demanded his resignation due toresults, I have never heard the shout on the terraces for his removal YET! These are just little annoyances that both clubs are trying to put a fly in the ointment of our promotion challenge. They must be desperate!!!!!!

Re: Ronnie Moore sacked ....
It'd be ironic if he went now, just as we're on the verge of getting the running of the club back on a sound, sensible footing. I know he will go one day, but not just yet please!

It's the bookies who're bigging him up as the next Vale manager...

However, the bookies had us as relegation favourites at the start of the season and look where that got them!

From other posts it sounds as though the players are just as bad, not trying for a new manager.

Re: Ronnie Moore sacked ....
Not suprised he was sacked. Apparently told his players they were gutless and if he had a gun he would shoot them.
Maybe he should have taken a more subtle approach

Re: Ronnie Moore sacked ....
As said before at some stage it probably will happen but I feel that JC & JB still see stanley as unfinished business. The difference between these two is they are stanley through and through not like most managers in the league who have little or no loyalty to their club this is the problem today it,s all about money, Coley,s not stupid both the lads on and off the field and the fans on terraces at the crown ground hold him and Jimmy in high esteem and this must make the job easier.

Shoot them first, then tell them they're gutless?

Re: Ronnie Moore sacked ....
Moore's obviously a failure - play-off finals one year, still in a playoff position now, but sacked after getting 3 points from a run of 5 games. Most years we've had spells where we've got something like 2 points from 8 games - and although there's been the odd whinge on here (not from me I hasten to add), Coley's never been given the dreaded "vote of confidence" as far as I know. I suspect he appreciates having the nearest thing to job security that there is in football management, and is likely to stay exactly where he is, known and loved - well I would if I was him.
