33 year old Hessey leaves Stanley a hamstring injury kept him out at the end of this season

Shame really. A good solid servant who will be missed. Understandable though with him being injury prone and also 33. Good luck Sean...you haven't got any younger brothers have you?

Aye, agreed.

Luckily, the song doesn't have to leave with him. As long as we sign this fella - Patrick O'Shaughnessy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Shaughnessy, Shaughnessy...

Re: Sean Hessey moves on

Best wishes to Hess! Barrow might be going places...

I've just read the BBC item about him signing for Barrow and it mentions Ashley Hoskin as assistant coach there. That's something I missed; but it's all here in t'paper:
North West Evening Mail | AFC | News | Hoskin upbeat on Barrow AFC?s play-off prospects next term

Ash has been there since the back end of last season.

There is also another Stanley connection, Sean Riley is the Physio. I only know that because he's been in the shop today to have his kit intialled up
