Abit of a heads up...

Season ticket info: Pompey ? Accrington Stanley FC

"Electric turnstiles? Eh, Bloody barcodes? Eh, Who's paying bloody bill for them eh?" - Im sure Big Eric will be proud deep down of what's happening off the field in the past 12 months!

I think its a sodding nuisance having to lug the book rather than the ticket, its ok when its cold, cos yeh put plenty of clothes on therefore yeh got pockets to put it in, but nuts in nice weather, would have made more sense to put barcode on each ticket, like they do with individual uns.

Supposed you could always tear the front cover off the book and keep it in your wallet. That way you've always got your barcode on you.

I suspect its an after thought and probably a prelude to a credit card thingy for next season - which would be the perfect method of season ticketry

It is a daft system needing both the ticket and the book. The whole reason why clubs use random numbering systems is so you cannot sell on individual tickets, then stanley negate this (again) by having a ticket for every match, Then when people think they can take out the ticket in advance the rules are changed mid-season and some people will fall foul.

This should have been explained at the collection event. I suppose their is a fail safe if it messes up, or the scanners may not have been available in time etc..

I think because it was a new system they wanted/needed to do it this way as a back up plan and hopefully next season it's the credit card system Macca mentioned!

Some clubs use the credit card system to buy tickets online and it automatically goes onto
the card so just needs scanning at the turnstiles!
