If dealing with a 'professional' club you would both be correct. Alas, this is Accrington Stanley we are talking about. Last season I bought two season tickets, one for myself, one for my son, at a total price of just over £400.00. Three games into the season the club brought out a 'Family Ticket' giving a discounted price for an adult and child, thus devaluing my season tickets. Further into the season they announced free admittance to under 12s and the junior membership scheme, then we had the free game against Torquay, both of which devalued the season tickets even further. I will certainly not be buying a season ticket for next season off this tin-pot outfit.

The point of season tickets is that the fan benefits by paying less over the season, while the club benefit from money up front. That's how the world works. People who pay cash for an item pay less than those buying on HP.
I've been critical of the club on numerous occasions, but I agree with Poppy in the view that moaning about prices actually coming down is just ridiculous. Seems like the club can't win.

I know there have been massive mistakes (can we call them that?) this season concerning tickets, amongst other things, and I do sympatise with you.
The club officials have said on numerous occasions that they have learnt alot this season, often from mistakes they have made. Hopefully they have learnt not to alienate their core support and 'reward' the faithful for their loyalty.
I'm prepared to believe what has been said and put my money where my mouth is. However, I can understand those that decide not to do so.

Aye Yerself good point that was verge of another point i got trashed upon in the U12 thread - my main point being that the club changed its policy without much of a warning, when the family ticket was replaced quietly also & as my child turns 12 a bit way thro the season that was my point about the value in getting a consession one this year, but interesting point from opposite end of the scale.
Are the club going to stick through their policies next season without chipping & changing like this one has
PS to clarify for those that dont know me well or my way i can appear to be brash/harsh or direct in my comments, its not meant in malice or bad tempered or even complaining tone, im just a straight to the point no messing with no round the houses typing kinda person, just say what i think & hard to express on mailing format to which everyone reads differently & this has been pointed out to me hence the explanation just so those that have found me the latter gets me

On that page it says the under 12 Junior Membership will continue next season. At least it's organised and ready to go for next term.

Re: season tickets for next season
Right people as someone who is unfortunate enough to have to stand next to Accymel at matches, hee hee only joking mel I can assure you that she definately has the passion and love for the club and would love dearly to come to many more matches than she does...so her posts on here are a reflection of that passion and love...so read again with that angle and I think you may come up with a completely different opinion than that of a moaner!!!!!!!!!!
I am lucky enough that I will be able to purchase my season ticket once again, however when do I buy it you may ask??...note that the reduced price is to be bought before 5th May (final match of season) so those that want to wait to see if we stay up or not and it goes down to the final mathc...beware as you won't get the discount!

But I will still purchase one for next season if and only IF I can e-mail Vicki.
Maybe should e-mail Lee in the Stanley Store to pass on.

Made me smile that Redskin.
Me, I was born in Everton.
Good move by the club, a move towards regular goers would be good as well. Buy 5/6 get one free? Collect the stamps, etc.

At it again poppy I see attacking fans, put it simply for you then you might understand, last year I paid £220 this year I will pay £239.20 before 5th May, that is an increase, you really do p*** me off.

How come if they say they are cheaper this year. Was the early discount more last year ?
Thought it was just me who noticed Poppy only posts when there's somebody to have a go at
