Shock! Horror! New Goalie!

Well done to the Ultras and everyone who made the trip to Hereford[nearWales] today! The most action packed nil-nil draw ever!Think the Roar deserves a mention;brought on just after half time ,playing at the back and saves a goal!!!! Good effort lad!Pure class.
Shame about Mully's disallowed goal though.Good day all round really, the lads seemed to be enjoying themselves more even having a "who can hit the crossbar?" comp at half time. The pressure on them during the run in to the playoffs must have been immense.
Here's to next season!!!

Re: Shock! Horror! New Goalie!

Just spoken to the Roar,he said "Did you see my clearance from the line,I couldn't believe it!" I had to reply "Neither could the Hereford fans!"

Re: Shock! Horror! New Goalie!

yes he did well. Would have prefered him up at the other end but Coley and Rory adapted to the situation well after psycho went off.

Danny was brilliant, and he is only going to get better as he gets more games. I just hope he is given a long run in the team next season

You're absolutely right about Danny getting some games under his belt. We saw earlier in the season how rapidly he gained confidence and judgement, then that confidence was transmitted to the defenders in front of him. Then in turn , the defence has more confidence in the 'keeper.

So it's a win-win situation , and in recent times we've seen only too clearly how even the best goalie can lose confidence and judgement when he hasn't been given a first-team outing for a while.

Danny was great I think we've got a fight for the no1 shirt next season, although I have to say that JK pre-broken leg was playing great

Re: Shock! Horror! New Goalie!

Danny did play quite well, but it was Rory who saved us from certain defeat.
