If he is not good enough for Shrewsbury at the bottom of league two, why should he be good enough for us ?

Re: Shrew's release striker

Was talking to a Shrewsbury fan and he said that Cooke has suffered with injuries over the last 2 seasons, but thought that he could still do a job at L2 level. The thing is, he isn't really what we need. We need a strong, nippy striker to play alongside Mullin.

Re: Shrew's release striker

Correct, he is on loan at Notts F.

You will have some serious competition from 'up the coast' for his signature I suspect!

Re: Shrew's release striker

no comparison between us for Brett Ormerod depnding on the money offered I wold have thought. If the deals on the table are even remotely similar the he would choose us over you every time. If he didn't I would be extremely disappointed in an old boy who has Eric Whalley to thank for securing his Premiership move.

I've touted his name for two years now. Come home Brett.

Only time will tell......

Remember he agreed to join us prior to the closure of the transfer window with a view to a permanent deal....but PNE were reluctant to let him come when Notts F came in for him.
