Shrimps second signing.

Following on from the signing of Tom Barkhuizen from troubled club Blackpool, MFC have today completed the signing of former Accy and Crewe player Lee Molyneux.

LM always strikes me as being a bit of a 'hard man' with an eye for goal. Just wondering how our East Lancashire friends think of him.....??????

O dear; Moly's a top guy but let Crewe pay his "serverance"

Guess MFC are a "big club" with "chauffers" and support staff

Not sure where the 'hard man' persona comes from. Lee is a very, very talented and clever player. He reads the game brilliantly, makes good decisions and can play in a few positions. He's at his best and most creative when confident. In my opinion when he is in top form he's better than any player of his kind in league 2. Would expect to see him play either right or left wing most. Hope he does well. Top top lad.

Good lad is Moly, shame that in his last spell with us he was only a shadow of the player he was the first time around - was more than likely just a confidence issue after he was messed about by Crewe. Would always wish him well - except in the two fixtures against us next season of course

Technically yes , but 2 of the signings were youngsters signing their first pro deals.

Bentley wants 6 new players excluding the 2 youngsters so that's 2 down and 4 to go. We think Aaron Wildig released by Shrewsbury could be another one.

Re: Shrimps second signing.

Didn't set the world on fire at tranmere or Crewe but is a talented lad with a quality left peg.
Not been the same player since his tag was removed, maybe it's effected his balance 😭😭😭-only joking !

Can't wait to see if Moly fares better at the Globe than other ex-Stanley players who have been there before him, can't think of one off the top of me head who's played better for the Shrimps than they did for us?

Well Craney didn't !

Paul Mullin was good for us.

Re: Shrimps second signing.

good luck to moly at Morecambe. I know his last spell with us was a little disappointing but could be due to him being messed around at other clubs. a match winner for sure.

So much so that you had to search out another player with the same name in the hope he'd replicate the original Mullin's form - he was still better when he played for us though - loved at Morecambe, adored at Stanley
