Re: Signings
Haven't seen Sousa play (apart from 10 mins) and heard he's good but McCleod looks a poor player to me. Spends most of the time confusing himself and falling over. A footballing Norman Wisdom.
twenty Eight has a good point. Who would you drop?

Re: Signings
As for playing Sousa & McLeod in the first Guiseley game are you saying they would not have been kicked round the pitch like the rest of our players , who would I drop, no one just use as impact subs.

In reply to 28 - I'm not suggesting that Sousa & McLeod would always be 1st choice for team selection, but one thing I would do is make far better use of our subs than we currently do.
Clark would always get priority over Sousa, but I'd be more than happy to sub Jordan if he starts to tire, or is having a poor game.
It's a case of horses for courses & selecting the right players for a particular match. I just felt a couple of fast wingers would have been more effective at Guiseley - only my opinion!
In reply to Lord D I would say - 'Norman Wisdom! Very funny.
You obviously didn't attend any of the pre-season friendlies, when both Sousa & McLeod featured against better teams & put in displays that made us all feel that this year would be our year.
In answer to your question, I would drop any player who didn't give 100%, or perform up to the required standard.
He would be out the very next game & someone else would be given the opportunity to prove his worth.
But then, team selection is not my responsibility - thank God!

For the record, I haven't missed a game this season - including pre season - home or away.

Re: Signings
Loan signing of Burnley defender - Jimmy Dunne - welcome aboard!
Interestingly Coleman also said that won't make as many loan signings again - seemed to suggest maximum of 5

Re: Signings
It will be very interesting who he brings in. This is a big decision as this season we are closer now to promotion than ever before. People said on another thread that we have had a good few seasons. I say we have been robbed of promotion by poor officials. Some of the decisions left a bitter taste and a wondering if there was more to it. This season is the one.

Re: Signings
Lord Stiff - yes, that reply makes sense to me.
Jimmy Dunne - not keen on any player that's been at either Burnley or Man U. This chap has been at both! I'll put it down to the folly of youth and hope he repents and has a good scrub down with disinfectant.

If he does as well for us as his team mate & countryman, Kevin Long I'll be happy, nowt wrong with coming from Burnley FC, agree about United but I think the biggest hurdle is that he's been on loan at the cul-de-sac that is Barrow
- now that is somewhere he'll need to acclimatise from
