Re: Silkmen back for Procter

Ryan isn't stalling on his contract offer. All being well with the takeover, he'll be a Stanley player for 09/10.

With Charnock though, as Coley says, if Peterborough demand a transfer fee then we simply can't sign him.

too right i have every faith that jimmy will make the right decision. he looks like he is enjoying his football here. my only worry is if we lose a few players like prock, mullers, cav miles etc that he then has 2nd thoughts., which is why i will only be happy when there is ink on the contracts

Re: Silkmen back for Procter

We haven't actually 'signed' anybody, so when the contracts expire in June they'll all be free-agents and can go anywhere. I know Mullin has another year, but he's on the transfer list.

If this 'take-over' (take forever more like) isn't sorted very soon, then who knows who we'll have left for next season?

I better have a look for my boots then, the Ultras have one or two that Coley could call on.

Re: Silkmen back for Procter

I hope Coley has a fairly full dossier of non league Bosman hopefuls and released academy lads because I think this uncertainty is jeopardising the chances of hanging on to our better players and he may end up having to largely rebuild the team.

Jimmy Ryan is on his way to Christie.

we are in negotiations with Keiran Charnock but at the moment he thinks his worth is more than our offer.

Got to be bull****.
Jimmy has agreed to sign a contract with Stanley. If the takeover saga has damaged our ability to sign a player that has already agreed to sign a deal there will be outrage. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

these things happen.

we were 30 minutes from signing former Blackpool winger Andy Welch last season after agreeing terms and then Yeovil gazumped us.

Re: Silkmen back for Procter

Apparently Keef Alexander has said in a local paper that Macclesfield won't be signing Andy Procter as he's too expensive.

If that's true, how will our wage budget and structure be able to keep him here?

Re: Silkmen back for Procter

Proccy is taking exams at the moment and is 'mulling over' the contract offer from Stanley. He reckons he'll know more next week when his exams are done with and he can concentrate on what he has on the table.

Meanwhile Macclesfield and Rochdale have enquired over Mullin but were put off when they discovered his expected wages. From the looks of that Mullin will be staying.
