Smithy Back At Clitheroe!

Just seen on Stanley site Andy Smith has gone back on loan to Clitheroe, probably a good move for the experience.

Re: Smithy Back At Clitheroe!

I think Smithy must see his future at Accy looks bleak!! the club have scoured all clubs looking for strikers without putting him in!!

I fear for him......The writing is on the wall!!

Don't be silly he's a youth player we're just nurturing talent.

I myself would agree with you Sam. He is just gaining experience, I do not think he is ready for FL2 just yet.

Re: Smithy Back At Clitheroe!

I thought he was on a pro contract??
I'm not knocking him ..........i'm just saying why would we bring in 18 year old strikers ( Gornell,Higginbotham) if they felt he was good enough...........

Re: Smithy Back At Clitheroe!

you can see both points 1, he is going getting experience at another club than why didnt he go a conferance club?? and the other point that he did sign a pro contract same time as turner, bell etc than why are we looking for other strikers when we have him! i think he is just getting experience! becuase for the reserves he has scored a few goals!

Re: Smithy Back At Clitheroe!

We are getting in other players in on loan who are young because they are better than smithy at this moment in time, they are destined to play in higher leagues when they get some experience, it is the same case with smithy, just lower down on the ladder.
