Smoking Policy
Does any one know if Stanley are going to provide any kind of smoking shelter around perimiter of the ground or the Crown?

Roofs take six years on average.
Actually there's a bus shelter, isn't there? You may need to shuggle up.

Re: Smoking Policy
If the bus shelter has sides you won't be able to smoke in there either.

If they weren't building a roof, would it still be classed as enclosed?
Swings and roundabouts, I suppose .......................and wind ups ................ who knows.

Re: Smoking Policy
I think you may find that F.A rules have banned smoking in all stadia from 1st July regardles of roof or not. So once inside the ground confines, its no smoking I'm afraid.

Re: Smoking Policy
Premises will be considered 'enclosed' if they have a ceiling or roof and (except for doors, windows or passageways) are wholly enclosed either on a permanent or temporary basis.
Premises will be considered 'substantially enclosed' if they have a ceiling or roof, but have an opening in the walls, which is less than half the total area of the walls. The area of the opening does not include doors, windows or any other fittings that can be opened or shut.

Most grounds are enclosed in that once inside the turnstile you enter the concourses. Wonder if the back of the Clayton End is classed as a concourse ?
Some clubs have arrangments to let home fans out at half time for a fag, I beleive Derby County do it, but they don't allow the away fans to do it.

Apart from Wembley and Millenium Stadium no football ground has a roof yet is deemed to be an enclosed place. I have yet to figure out the logic in it ?

Re: Smoking Policy
Sadly, if there is no smoking, then Accy are one supporter less.

do you ever fly anywhere on holiday? If so then surely you survive without a cigarette until you are clear of the airport. Well this is just the same, 2 hours max without a fag. Jeez not rocket science and not hard to do. BTW just before you have a go at me, I used to smoke but flew to Australia on a number of occasions and I went 15 hours without - yes I was gagging for one when I got into the airport smoking room, but I managed. to say you won't support Stanley for that is IMHO a little bit sad.
