League 2 clubs to get crumbs from premiership TV deals, article at

Lower tier clubs benefit from TV deal - Times Online

League Two average payment is £69,000 a year for 3 years, and seems to be for Youth development and community programmes.

I think the money for youth development and community is separate.

Apparently performance related so points will make prizes

Whilst I welcome the extra revenue this will generate for the club, I feel that the lower league clubs are merely getting crumbs from the banquet table. Some will say that we should be happy that we're getting something full stop, but why don't all the chairmen of leagues One,Two AND the Conference stand up and be counted ?? Without grass roots level football in this country, I fear the lower league system in this country will follow the Scottish lead and pale into obscurity.
