Strange team selection to start with and IMO decisions didnt improve:

Why play Richardson (out wide as well) when he's proved he's not up to this level?
Why play Naismith up the middle when he's proved he struggles there?
Why play Bowerman at all (sorry just don't see how a team like ours can carry a player who only wants to play when the ball is around the box) and Beattie has admitted he wasn't 100% before the game.
Why not make changes when his new system obviously wasn't working, even as soon as half time

I thought we were lucky to get a point yesterday and as good as Southend were going forward I thought they were poor at the back and we could have exploited that.

Hopefull we'll see our best 11 on New Years Day

I thought Bowerman did ok, though agreed he didnt look fit. He is alot better with his back to goal and therefore plays better with a partner up top.... BUT with 5 in midfield that wasnt going to happen.

Webber cant last more than 45 minutes so George was probably the best option yesterday.

He did. But he needs to be told that a team defends from the front, even if he wasn't 100% fit.

Bowerman looked to be be struggling with fitness but otherwise performed well. He's our best finisher - if the manager thinks he's fit enough to play then he has to start him. Think he made the wrong call there though.

Some of the heckling George got from around the dugout was disgraceful.

Thought Shrimpers we're there for the taking yesterday there nothing special!! Could and should have been out of sight long before they scored. As for Richardson thought he'd come on at half time as a sub

Ref was a plonker all game wrong on most things including the off the ball involving murphy n there number 11 Straker who should have been at least yellow cardd if not sent off just befor half tim.Then theres the throw in that led to their goal should have been our,. To me thats 4 lost home points althou 2 gained over the festive season .

I also used to sit next to the dugout's but gave up a few years ago and moved to the Clayton End. Full of fool's.

The truth is that booing or running down a player representing your team is possibly the worst form of disrespect that anyone can demonstrate at a Football match , and there is no place for it in the Main Stand at The Crown.
