Thumbs up Sponsored Bike Ride

As some of you may have noticed in Saturdays programmes news section, I will be undertaking a sponsored cycle (starting this week). I will be cycling from Accrington to Torquay and back, a total of 568 miles, the twist being I will be doing this without Leaving Accrington.

The majority of my cycle will take place at Hynburn sports centre and will require me to average approximately 25 miles a week in order to complete the cycle by the time the Torquay away fixture comes around on Febuary 27th.

The monies raised will be split 50/50 between the Accrington Stanley Supporters Fund and the Accrington Stanley Ladies Team.

The news of our latest encounter with the revenue this morning (2/9/09) has made this all the more poignient for me and all the more determined to complete this and raise as much money as I can in the process.

If anyone wishes to sponsor me then please place your pledges in here and i'll PM you regarding where and when you'll be able to hand over any monies at a later date. Pledges can be for the whole journey or by the mile and any donation will be greatfully recieved.

I'll be sorting some press things out over the next week so look out for me in the local rags!!!

Thanks

Re: Sponsored Bike Ride

Just a little idea Sparkie, how easy is it to add a chart to your signature - like the one in emamum's post above - with a mileage chart and a picture of a bike! Just a thought...

I have already asked for it to be made a sticky (by Mick) I presume hes offline currently.

And a paypal is defo something i'm looking into, as it appears to be a good way to collect the monies offered with out too much hassle.

Great minds do indeed think alike!!!
