Why not come along and support Stanley and the OSC on Sunday 26th August as they take part in the Barrowford Show!
With the Sun promising to make an appearance it should be great day out!

Re: Stanley at Barrowford Show

The OSC are still looking for some volunteers to help with the stall on Sunday. I think there are just three of us at the moment so any help would be appreciated. Will try to sort some transport out if needed but my car will probably be rammed with the tent and t-shirts etc

Re: Stanley at Barrowford Show

the day went reasonably well. We never expected to make any sales whatsoever with the wrong side of bandit country - but we did sell some t-shirts, badges, CD etc. The penalty shoot-out run by the club went really well and Lewis worked his nuts off as Fraser the goalkeeper! well done Lewis.

The stall looked well with the shoot-out at the side of us but we had to take the sides off the tent to stop it blowing over in the gentle breeze!!!!!!!! so consequently we had nowt hung up after about midday so the stall then looked quite bland.

All in all it was a good day and Stanley were well represented by its Supporters Club and its new Community Liaison team that nobody knew we had

Re: Stanley at Barrowford Show

Yep, still recovering I'm afraid, One of the saddest sights I ever saw, was through the mesh of my beak, a queue of 15 kids lining up to smack 10 penalties against a big furry "chicken", It was mid afternoon and I was dying in there and all I wanted was a pint and a sit down, but hey ho, for the good of the club?

Was actually great to save a few of macca's penalties too.
Not so clever now are you? beaten by Fraser the Eagle.lol

you're having a laff chicken man!!!!!

first five were put squarely past your flapping feathers, then I proceeded to take the pith outta ya by trying to (steel) toe punt it as hard as i could into your midriff as revenge for messing the stall up!!!!!!

but when all is said and done Lew it was a good job you did there as it was hard enough just sitting around all day without having to stand up and camp it up dressed as a bloody chicken (sorry - eagle)

As I understand it, full details are posted in the cellar of the Crown, behind a door marked, "Beware of the Tiger".
