Accrington Stanley meet again over Coleman's new deal
ACCRINGTON Stanley say they are close to agreeing new deals with manager John Coleman and his assistant Jimmy Bell.
Coleman and Bell are currently working with a verbal agreement of a rolling one-year contract but have been keen to secure a new deal in writing.
The pair have been in charge of Stanley for almost 11 years, but chairman Ilyas Khan promised to reward them with extended deals when he took over at the Crown Ground in November.
“We are very close to that being signed now, although I know we have said that before,” said chief executive Rob Heys.
“We met with them on Tuesday morning, although the length of the contract is still one of the things being discussed.”
New deals for strikers
Bobby Grant and
Michael Symes, out of contract in the summer, were also discussed with Coleman and the Reds hoping an agreement can be reached with their top scorers in the near future.
