Re: Stanley Ebay

This is not good publicity.

This thread was thrown up by Google's Accrington Stanley Alerts Service.

It's not dav007's fault though is it?

Re: Stanley Ebay

For the record I have recently bought a couple of items off ebay, an autograph book and a copy of the Crewe FA Cup game 1992, both items are excellent and where delivered in days. If the club don't want bad publicity then they should either get their act together or stop using ebay to sell stuff.

The above comment was posted on 23/11/07. There has been some improvement since then but not enough.

Re: Stanley Ebay

first of all

can i thank touchline.tv who has tried to help me.
He was for want of a better word lied to; he was informed it had been posted.

My cheque was cashed on the 21st May.
It is now the 6th July.
Still no items.

I have emailed the club, left messages over the phone for Rob Heys, even offered to pick it up.
Nothing back.

So now I have been left with no choice but to raise and ebay dispute against the club I love.
I feel let down, as I have given the club every chance to get in touch and explain to me what has happened.

this need highlighting.

Re: Stanley Ebay

At the risk of seeming naive, it does appear to me that there is a certain common factor around which, or more precisely, around WHOM, most of the discontent seems to centre. E-bay sales, fishy site updates, club shop orders - they all seem to be in or around the domain of one particular club employee. A few months back, people were quick to call for Coley's head when they felt that he was failing in his job - perhaps it might be appropriate to say that what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander! I will now prepare to be shot down in flames, but it makes you think!!!

I think you may have hit the nail on the head here. On a different matter, I signed up for the Lottery paying at the silver level and have been since March. As yet, I have not had a mention in the club programmes or a card to signify that I have joined. I have personally spoken to Rob Heys and other staff at the club and I feel promises that have been made have been broken on numerous occasions. This does nothing for the diehards who support the club week in week out. Lets hope things can improve this next season, although I have been informed that Mick Schultz has now taken over the lottery so I will be speaking to him at the Burnley game.

I also signed up as a bronze member before xmas and have my name in the programme but I haven't had anything through from the Club. I got my discount in the Stanley Store because Lee knows me but I have no proof other than my name in the programme.
