Speaking to my sister (who lives in Coventry) earlier this year that I'd get the niece & nephew to a Stanley game against Cov, only thing was I'd expected it to be a league 1 fixture & not a pre season friendly.

Great to see home pre-season friendlies being announced against good opposition who I would expect will bring decent followings, a chance for players to get used to each other, the new pitch surface, fans a chance to watch a home game and money into the coffers from the gate.

Stanley and Coventry were 6 divisions apart(i think) 11 years ago, but now it's only one!
I don't think Stanley have ever played Coventry in either league, cup or friendly. |

played them in the league 4 times Winstanley.
1925-26 won 3-1 at home and lost 2-1 away 1959-60 lost 2-0 at home and 2-1 away. |
