Got to sign him up for as long as it sensibly possible If nothing else IF he decides(or Eric) to go whilst under contract we would get a few quid. I no this is negative thinking but it is also realistic thinking be cause we must face facts in this day and age money talks for footballers and very few sacrafice cash for loyalty to a club. (P.Mullin springs to mind and I suppose Shearer!)

Posted via Mobile Device coley and co should try and get him on a 3/4 year deal! I know the club dont usually do these deals but hes 100% worth it! As he has shown on the pitch! He has been just that player we need in midfield

theres sense in that, cos if he was n continued to progress, would inflate his price no doubt.

I think he is potentially better than either Barry or Craney, and am very afraid he will go on to a much higher level. But not for a while yet, please.

Re: Stanley Start Ryan talks!

i totally agree! thats the best i have seen him play in the middle on tuesday so of his shots were awasome if there keeper had not been that good or just lucky ryan could of got a hat-trick! shrewsbury must be kicking themselves now letting him go! great find by coley though, i hope he stays for a couple more years but he might get taken in the summer by a league 1 or championship side! and than hopefully we will be playing against him in the championship a couple years later

Re: Stanley Start Ryan talks!

Yeah i also agree with these comments. Does anyone know when Turner is out of contract? He is another good young player we should get signed up in my opinion.

Re: Stanley Start Ryan talks!

in the observer today i think jimmy is quoted saying all the players are out of contract in the summer apart from paul mullin so they are talking to a few players about new contracts becuase they are building for next year! maybe promotion next year than with aurther, turner and ryan on fire at the moment

I think (and I could be wrong) that it is Eric's policy to give a 1 year contract to everybody (that was the stumbling block with Mullers last season) So it is time that he abandoned that policy because we have a few that we need to sign up or run the risk of losing for nowt!!!!!!

Re: Stanley Start Ryan talks!

Eric Whalley never gives 2 year contracts to any player over 30. Mullin was an exception last year. However, quite a few players have been given 2 year contracts in the past.
