Re: Stanley try to sign Paul mullin
I hope not. If we do we will be back to the long punt up field all game. Mully was a good servant but I don't think he is good enough now.

Re: Stanley try to sign Paul mullin
With our much improved midfield there to support him, it can only be a good thing.
Please Paul, come back.

No just no, we have progressed the most without Paul. A Legend but lets close the book on this one.

I agree we have moved on now.
THE best servent ever to grace the Crown Turf, but now we have moved on.

Re: Stanley try to sign Paul mullin
Spoke with Paul up at the crown in the week leading up to the Aldershot game he looked as fit as a fiddle for a chap of his advancing years lol and he is still full of enthusiasm for the game IMHO opinion we could do a lot worse than have him back even if it,s only on loan.

Re: Stanley try to sign Paul mullin
I don't want to see us step backwards, Paul was a fantastic servant to the club, but our game is totally different without him, and reverting to our prior tactics to accommodate him isn't a good move.

Re: Stanley try to sign Paul mullin
How many times have so many people on this website said how they would love ex-Stanley players to return to the club, Craney, Rommy Boco et al. And in the main the reply has been no. And I have to agree on this one. Yes Paul Mullin has been a brilliant servant to the club in previous years, but he has even lost his place at the Globe. Lets move forward, not backwards or even sideways. Lets be thankful for the memories of the games that Paul has graced on the Crown pitch. But let that be it - memories

Re: Stanley try to sign Paul mullin
I'm not so sure it's such a bad idea. I was a huge fan of Michael Symes, and saw him as being a big improvement in the way he made our possession much more productive than Paul ever could. However, I think the way we are playing this season through midfield and clearing our lines from defence much more assuredly, could result in Paul getting on the end of things in the box, where he still can be very effective. We need a big physical presence up front, and until such time as we are lucky enough to find an Andy Bishop-type player of our own, we could do a lot worse.
