Stanley Ultras FC v Rhyl
Stanley Ultras travelled to Sunny Rhyl today in the Northern Supporters League; incidentally the longest away trip of the season.
Due to an accident we arrived an hour late for kick off & had the shortest warm up ever. Rhyl started strongly & are a big physical side. However, the game tipped in our favour when Ash Seed was sent clear & lobbed the keeper from the edge of the penalty area.
An unsavoury incident reduced Rhyl to ten men but bizarrely only for 10 minutes. Welsh sin bin rules ....
Dean briggs made it 2 -0 with a neat finish & half time arrived with SU in a commanding position.
A hand ball from Jake Dowling just after the restart briefly let Rhyl back in with a well taken penalty kick. However, from a long throw Jase Graham poked one in from 2 yards to restore the cushion.
A final goal with 4 mins to go from George Cull rounded off a fantastic day.
Ultras stay in 2nd ........ Final Score Rhyl 1 Ultras 4
