Don't know why they're moaning.... today was entertaining, next game will also be... why should it be cheaper??
I remember, many years ago, watching Man C playing Luton Town at Maine Road... similar conditions to today.... City were 6-2 up at half ime, & believe it or not, Denis Law had scored all 6!!!
Then The Ref abandoned game!!
Later in the season, City lost 1-3 in the re-arranged fixture!!
At least we have a chance of a full squad when we next play them!!

As for the early finish I knew it was going to rain heavily and I knew there was a chance of it being called off or abandoned. I came and paid to watch my club play football and that what I got, as well as getting ****ed wet through. I don’t mind if I have to pay again.
I thought the lads played well with plenty of grunt and exciting play, the water sport element added to the flavour. The referee made a bad call in my opinion, as people have said the pitch was no worse after the first so play could have continued.
Mel, you’re a lazy sod.
Just seen the bit on the reduction for the replay. Well done the club.

Not a criticism, I was making my point like everyone else.
The only one who might like to take it as a criticism? Is the dodgy bird who didn’t want to get her hair wet.

Re: Stanley v Mansfield
C'mon everyone - the pitch was definitely deteriorating as the game went on. Much as I was fed up at the time I still wouldn't mind paying again as long as Stanley continue to give 110% as they did today. 45 minutes of Stanley is better than 90 at some grounds I could care to mention.
The game had become a lottery - Mansfield's goal would never have happened without the ball stopping short of Dunbavin's rushing out to an attempted clearance, even if the defender ( Richardson?) was daft to try the pack-pass.
Young Jay Harris reminds me more of Anthony Barry every time I see him - what a battler!

If you saw how I was dressed you’d think again. I have a cupboard full of specialist walking gear designed to keep me warm and dry and I turned up dressed for the flu.

Re: Stanley v Mansfield
Harris is coming on more and more.. Was it Harris who took that instant shot on the volley just outside the penalty area... seems to be getting better every game for me

Got to agree with you there.....
Although Ian D gained us a point against Bury, if today's game had continued, I feel he may have lost us two, if not three..... sorry, I think Rob should be given an extended run........ otherwise, he's back to Charlton, & where will that leave us??
S**t, I vowed never to criticise individual performances, as I could never do better..... sorry Ian.

Why - what did he do wrong today? Surely you're not blaming him for the goal?

Think you will find thats rubbish. Burnley had a game abandoned not too long ago. They gave half refund to those who paid ( because they had tickets stubs to prove they were at the game ) and then made the re-arranged game half price to everyone. Think you will find that is less money grabbing than the one Stanley are proposing which is pay in full and then some more if you go to the re-arranged game.

Re: Stanley v Mansfield
Thanks though I didn't take it as such. Just making the point as to how bad it would have been.

Re: Stanley v Mansfield
you cant blame ian dunbavin for the goal .you should never attempt a back pass when the pitch was in that state youv seen enough goals like that on match of the day.
