Re: Stanley v Wycombe - commentary on 2BR
Just got back from match. Great final winner by mangan... as for the ref....BLOODY AWFUL and that's being polite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only one thing I can say to the lads, please keep the ball on the ground a bit more, less of the lamping it up the pitch!!!

We change the clocks at the end of October. Having been to the match, wow what a set of pillocks the officials were. I know Cav is not the quickest of players, but the goal Wycombe scored from a free kick should have been a throw in (To Wycombe) and certainly Cav did not deserve to get booked for that challenge. It seemed the liner was going to flag for a throw Wycombes way and got a nervous twitch which the ref interpreted as a free kick . What an inspired substitution when Mangan comes on and deservedly fired in the winner. The ground erupted. Though there was more than 2243 though, looked like at leat 2700, but hey I aint counting. The Craney goal was absolutely brilliant, a joy to watch and for those who could not be there today and are in this country, set the videos to watch the highlights I think on ITV tomorrow.
A special thanks to Danny Ventre, Julian N'da and Nikki Bains and the rest of the lads sat in the stands for enquiring how my partner was on her way back from the toilets. She really appreciated that. Also thanks to all the fans who asked how she was today and also at the Bury match on Tuesday night, sorry forgot to mention it on that particular thread, but once again thanks. (Just had an operation to clean up a disc in her spine and has 17 staples in her back at the moment).

Re: Stanley v Wycombe - commentary on 2BR
Wycombe crowd seemed a descent bunch!
I noticed some of them were applauding Mangers goal as much as we were and they must have felt really gutted at that point. Its good to see such good sports and true football fans.

Re: Stanley v Wycombe - commentary on 2BR
To all of you who did manage to listen, we ARE both still alive, despite the press box electrics conspiring to burn us to death! After a couple of incidents where unnamed reporters from other local radio stations (who could that be...?) accidentally pulled out the plug, extension leads started going off like party poppers. Hence the somewhat stop-start coverage!
For all of you who were thwarted by the server problems, although I am the very bottom rung of the 2BR hierarchy I would hope that a bit of complaining will get things sorted. Fingers crossed for Swindon!!!!
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the coverage (when we were on!), and don't forget that you can get in touch with the station to express your pleasure (or displeasure!) at what's happened in the game and the coverage.

Re: Stanley v Wycombe - commentary on 2BR
Oh yeah... If anyone wants to hear loads of match reaction from yesterday's game, we have a sports show from 12 today, when we'll hear EXCLUSIVELY from Michael Welch and Andy Mangan...

Tbh I actually questioned the gate anouncement myself yesterday, as to my eyes it did look busier than announced, but was assured that the computer system was working and that even the 'comps' had been added on.
Apart from phisically counting heads I really dont know what else the club can do!!
Oh well full circle again!

Re: Stanley v Wycombe - commentary on 2BR
The official gate figure looked spot on from where I was standing. Just imagine another bloke or two standing next to you in the spaces and you have the maximum capacity, even allowing for the stand looking quite full.
