Starting line up, Hereford- Phil Edwards?

Just wondering if any of you think Phil should be in the starting line up, i thought he played brilliantly on Saturday, but if cavanagh is fit then who would he replace.

Also do you think Doherty will start on the wing????

Phil definitley deserves to start..He was awesome on Saturday but if Cav is fit i can't really see Coley keeping him in the side...

if cav wasn't captain then edwards would be at right back every game. it's just a shame edwards isn't taller, as he'd be a top class centre half in this league if he was.

yh i agree.

I think Phil can play on both sides?????
If Richardson is suspended then who else could take his place apart from edwards.. This could be the chance for edwards to claim a few first team starts and impress coley!!!!!!!

Re: Starting line up, Hereford- Phil Edwards?

i dont think toddy is anywhere near a natural striker-he's good at what he does, which is pushing past full backs and getting the crosses in. admittedly though, he has got a good finish on him. for me it's got to be boco and mullin up front, but that means doherty on the wing, and i do not like that one bit....

brown start with mangan replacing later on after all brown has had his best games for us when hes played against hereford

with boco on left until we sign a winger

by the way anyone know where we will be at hereford heard from a few people that they have opened the stand behind the goals and we could be in there, or will we be back in concrete pillar heaven???

why??? mangan has always known that when he signed for us he wasent the first choice for striker so whats changed???

Brown hasent excatly lived up to expectations has he? comes on plays ok, hes got a great footballing brain but some times doesnt look intrested, i didnt expect him to sign for us this year tbh

so whats changed from when they signed for us to now? except us playing a higher level of football

Re: Starting line up, Hereford- Phil Edwards?

dunno with brown, i think maybe he thinks that hes at best third choice striker so when he comes on maybe just cant be arsed who knows? as for mangan he signed when he was 18?? i think, hes 20 now, i bet he wants to be playing and not sitting on the bench.

Re: Starting line up, Hereford- Phil Edwards?

brown is blatantly not good enough for league two, and mangan only seems to impress when he's used in the last 20mins to stretch a defence. when january comes (IF we sell gary) we need to be buying two strikers of the quality of aaron mclean and a left winger. i know we won't have the money for 3 players, but there you go.

Coleman invariably gets his man in the transfer market. He had to have two attempts at Lee McEvilly, two attempts at Paul Mullin and two attempts at Ian Craney. He also tracked Sean Doherty for a long time. When he wants a player he will not forget him and keep trying, I reckon McClean will come in January.
