Re: Stevenage Thread (part one)
Well here we go a couple of things that have been going through my mind since yesterday and just looking at a few highlights of Stevenage they are tall physical side with that in mind.
Do you leave Kevin Long in there or put Sean Hessey back in?
Do you start with Ian Craney or leave Charlie Barnett in?
The one I really hope for is DJ back with the squad even from the bench as proved last week at Burton the lad can have an instant impact and offer a different kind of threat.

Re: Stevenage Thread (part one)
Hessey back for me. All the clean sheets aat the beginning and end of the season have been the same back four - leave well alone.
Craney in for Barnett. I gotta admit I was one of those who surprised at Craneys return. I didn't think he offered us anything that we didn't already have (Putterill). But his return coincided with the resurgence in results and I dont think it is an accident. Cracking goals in February but more than that it is the way that he can pick a pass out that splits defences. He has to return.
I also think that Turner has to be at least on the bench. He might not fit into the team with the shape that we currently play, but he is an option if you have to chase a game. It means changing the entire formation though, but if needs must he terrifies full backs with his pace. I think he's a good outlet if we are winning and just want to punt it forwards hoping for the best. "chase that Chris"

Re: Stevenage Thread (part one)
Although I agree what is said about Ian Craney , I find he either gives it all or nothing .
with Alex Cisak in goal our results and clean sheet improved ,it is team work.

Re: Stevenage Thread (part one)
Agreed with most points.
Stick with hessey and Phil. Long on the bench.
Play craney BUT if he is having a shocker then dont leave him on for the sake of it, ie shrews and shots away, when we have Barnett, Razor and hopefully Chris T on the bench!

Re: Stevenage Thread (part one)
I too would start with Craney but if hes struggling to make an impact take him off at half time even. Tonights game has such rewards anyone not performing should be subbed. I think Turner shows each time he comes in what he can do and is one of our options to change any game and along with Razor they could win the game for us tonight if its not going well with 25 mins to go. Lets hope we get off to a flying start. The butterflies are kicking in now. Bring it on.
