A car load of us from Blackburn are going again - we've been to all the FCUM games at the IES so far. Lets hope for another big crowd and another good game. £7.00 is well worth it, if its keeps GHT FC going for another season - or two

Re: Sunday at the IES

Just got back...match was called off for a very suspicious 'frozen' pitch , when in fact it was only the shaded wing under the roof that was 'frozen', and in my opinion (not that it counts) after 10 or so minutes of play the wing would have thawed out....understandably everyone at Gt Harwood are extremely p'd off because of the loss in revenue. It was made clear that the pitch was 10 times worse in a conference tie between Stanley and FGR not 4 weeks ago.
Yet another ref looking for a day off on a chilly day...

Why had Stanley officials not put covers on the pitch? Frost had been forecast. Alot of people understandly peed off at Harwood over the game not going ahead!

Re: Sunday at the IES

How do you know covers were not put on the pitch???
And besides the only frozen part of the pitch was the shaded bit under the new stand wing - which we have no real control over even if covers are put on 24 hours befoere a game as guided.

Its sad that the match was called off so late. A lot of FCUM fans - and their team - were already there. And its cost GHT FC a lot of cash, and for a club that don't have much, that hurts.

The only problem I had was that the tel number on the Harwood website does not work!!!! One of their fans gave me another number - but nobody has answered or returned my calls (and calls my many others I understand).

Does anybody here have a tel number of Harwood that works?????
