Re: Tax Problems
Haven't read the story, but I suspect if Heys is denying there's a tax problem: there's a tax problem.
Here we go again...

Re: Tax Problems
FFS what next, Ok I will excuse them the putting up the extra due to weather conditions, but if and it is a big IF we are behind on Tax payments, then they should all stand down and EW take his cronies to Chester and keep out of our club.

Just as a point of clarification, Rob Heys doesn't write the cheques, granted He is the frontman and CEO and therefore bears SOME resposiblity, but the blame (if there are any truth in the rumors) must lie squarely on the shoulders of Whalley and O'Neil.

Re: Tax Problems
You would expect the below to be a satisfactory denial - sadly I'm sure there will still be some on here who will view it with some doubt.
ACCRINGTON Stanley chief executive Rob Heys has denied rumours that the club has fallen behind with repayments to HM Revenue and Customs.
Today’s home match against Burton has been postponed because of a frozen pitch and the club also lost revenue when their recent game against Shrewsbury was called off.
But Heys dismissed rumours the Reds may be behind on tax payments – a year after they paid off a £308,000 debt to HM Revenue and Customs.
“No, not at all,” said Heys. “Losing games affects the finances but we know we can’t afford to get behind on our commitments, particularly the tax. That would be inexcusable.”

...and can you blame them? Unfortunately, Rob's credibility has been somewhat damaged over the years and people regard his statements with a deep scepticism.
Like everyone else, I really, really hope that these rumours are totally fictitious, but even if they are, I'm wearily resigned to the next crisis which I'm sure will be just up the road, under the present administration.

Re: Tax Problems
It appears to be a vicious circle , when it seems all is well , the mess appears sorted , everyone assured the club now being run correctly. Here we are pear shaped again, if the rumours are correct. We were told there was to be an announcement from both sides of the board room after the Newcastle game , did I miss them ?
