Re: The 'Burton on a Friday' match thread.
Superb is the only word for it. Stanley have got to be the form team in this or any other division.
Excellent result. Keep on like this and we will be giving the play offs a miss this Season for all the right reasons.
How does Coley maintain this Season on Season improvement with the resources and all the changes of personnel?

Re: The 'Burton on a Friday' match thread.
I think we had 32 after 25 last year too .... my source my spreadsheet records . The surge to the playoffs started with game 28.
But this year is not as good as 09/10 - 42 after 25 then .... but it all went wrong at the end that season with only 8 points from the last 12 games.
I should get out more ...
In the meantime - yee haaaa!!

Re: The 'Burton on a Friday' match thread.
Sat in 8th
There is only 4 L2 fixtures tomorrow, but only Oxford winning or drawing will drop us to 9th.
Which will probably slow my nosebleed down a bit

Re: The 'Burton on a Friday' match thread.
Well another fantastic but VERY wet away day.
Should have been 4-3 with all the chances, but make no mistake Bav's for me had his best game in a Stanley shirt in a LONG time. 1 save in particular was world class.
Mcintyre was also magnificent again, what another superb find for Coley. Without a doubt our most improved player.
New guy also looked decent, was very harshly booked in the 1st half and took a big bang in the 2nd, so was no surprise to see him replaced........... By Super Tom Bender Who looked nice and assured at Center Back. Another option for Coley there.
Thankfully their number 17 didnt play all the game as he looked a danger man in the 2nd half.
Can we play every Friday night please???
Great to see the legend Andy Todd having an interest in the Stanley still, had a nice chat with him before the game.
Roll on Barnet !!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: The 'Burton on a Friday' match thread.
Just got back from the game,we were superb.
Played in rain and swirling wind, acci had a look at the opposition for 15 minutes and then took control of the game.
In the second-half ,I dont think it gets any better in those conditions.
Everyone contributed and there was a great energy about us,we seemed to be able to go long/short/wide and attacked with great pace.
My main pre-match concern was how our CBs would control Zola and Richards and there speedy widemen.
The new lad from Everton was solid, but young Bender was superb,I have to apologise to smudgie, whos been pushing for his inclusion,he was right, and the kid is more than ready.
Being left footed,he gave us good balance, and was very vocal.
Although only on for 30 minutes, hes done more than enough to convince me hes a talent ( kevin who ??? lol).
Exciting times ahead with this team.
