Re: The Crown Pub
rightio fans!!!! we got quite a bit of work done tonight and the Pool room ain't far off finished. We now have sixteen shirts pinned to the ceiling (thanks mainly to Jimbo (then me x 2 , Outback Ozzy x 2, Squaddie and Smiffy x 1 each) for his 10 shirts). I reckon we need about 10 shirts to finish off that ceiling - I am particularly lookin gfor earlier shirts such as the Scott Alty ones and the early Hollands Brick effect shirt.
Please have a look and if you can supply a shirt we aiint got, put a label innit so that we know its yours if it ever has to come down and donate behind the bar or via PM to me.
We've also got a shed load of pennants up entirely covering one wall so that looks excellent too. Don't forget folks, this is supposedly our pub let's make it so.

Re: The Crown Pub
Have you got the Hollands one made by Ellgren Sports - it's red with yellow trim on the collar & sleeves, if not you can have mine.

I've got a spare large framed picture of the ground - taken about 2003-4 season I think - If you want it I can donate it to the Pub? Let me know and I'll bring it along tomorrow.

Sure I saw Satanta written on blackboard earlier today, as I went to pick my season ticket up.
Clayton End, Covered Standing. This isn't why they held them back is it?
Two Ferguson defeats, Bagpuss?

Re: The Crown Pub
Went in after the game to have a butchers - the shirts and pennants are looking good - also so my youngest & his mate could have a game of pool, unfortunately the day was soured by some scumbag who nicked a moneybag of coins from my lad's mate all in the space of a couple of minutes when all three of us had taken our eyes of it. Whoever it was I hope whatever they bought with their 'pickings' bloody choked 'em
