Re: The early Swindon match thread ............
As someone once, if they're big enough, they're old enough.
Good luck to the lad but I feel Murdoch's not had a fair crack. And he's not the only one; not letting young Bender get a game has also been a similar puzzle. But then I don't know what goes on off the pitch.
On another note, the visit of Stanley has obviously got the Swindon fans fearful of turning up - they we're offering home fans £14 entrance as opposed to the rip off £25 for the rest.

Re: The early Swindon match thread ............
Agree with Exile very strange decision not to give Murdoch a chance
Gonna be a big test for Stanley tomorrow would take a draw now but stranger things happen maybe we will return north with three points in the bag?

Re: The early Swindon match thread ............
The new broom is raising a lot of dust around a squad that recently took 28 points out of a possible 39 - and yes I have noticed they've only got 4 out of the last possible 18 - my fingers are becoming somewhat crossed .

Re: The early Swindon match thread ............
Well must admit I was rather surprised at the announcement of the keeper signing.
Looks like the final nail in Murdoch's coffin, which I personally think is a shame.
Cooky obviously doesnt rate him or he would have played at Crewe on Tuesday.
Good luck to the new man.
Anybody remember those other two unknown Premier League young keepers we once signed.................... Randolph & Elliott ......... Who knows what could happen

Re: The early Swindon match thread ............
My first XI would be:
Nicholls
Coid Liddle Winnard McIntyre
Lindfield Hughes Joyce Murphy Devitt
Amond
Standard away-from-home underdog practice; pack the midfield and keep the back four as a static bank in order to minimise chances for the oppo. Toss up between Podge and Smith for centre-forward but I think Podge gets into better areas for finishes, which may be few and far between.
Couldn't actually predict what line up we will see tomorrow. The only definite is that it's going to be bloody difficult.
Come on Accy.

Re: The early Swindon match thread ............
Whats happened to Guthrie or is he playing for the yoof today? He might just be the answer to the goal scoring if Devitt can get the crosses in. I know he has a long way to go in his development but if JC saw some promise in the lad then maybe Leam can prod PC in the right places to have a look at him.

Re: The early Swindon match thread ............
Really dont think Guthrie is the answer mate at the moment.
As a few have already mentioned he has been unlucky this year, he just needs abit of confidence. I saw potential in the lad pre-season, no doubt about it.
With no reserve side, its tough for those that are out of the squad to get match action, hopefully he plays in the Wigan game and bags a goal or two.
I would prefer to see him go out on loan again to a BSP side and bag some goals.
