Agreed. Or even at a lower level than that. Southport didn't exactly do him the world of good. Many strikers have found their scoring boots 2/3 levels below their parent club and been able to transcend the form upon their return. Sadly I don't think we'll see much of Kurtis again. But nothing is impossible in football, if he works hard individually and regains confidence, who knows what could happen.

Re: The early Swindon match thread ............
Gutted not to be making the trip down to Swindon today. It's a crying shame that we can't muster enough numbers for one coach. All the best to the super Reds that make it to the County Ground today.
Hoping that we can pull off something special. We're struggling for confidence so I'm dreading the home side taking the lead early. If we can remain solid and play our football under inevitable pressure instead of getting scared and resorting to the long ball, there's every chance we could nick a goal. We've got great creativity in Hughes and Devitt which ought to be utilised to the fullest in circumstances such as this.
Come on Accy.

Re: The early Swindon match thread ............
Its a shame Radio Lancs don't seem to cover our away matches , seems both Blackburn and Blackpool are favourites this season.I know Dan does live coverage via PC , but I do not want to sit at front of PC for an entire game, I ptefare to listen as I go along .

I go along with that. I think to pair him up with Michael Smith and with Podge just behind, it would give opposition defenders something to worry about. And even more if Jamie Devitt and Craig Lindfield were attacking down the wings.

Re: The early Swindon match thread ............
It's a bit late to set off for Swindon ..but the Team selected by Paul and Leam have my very best wishes for a very difficult...and for them as our management team,a defining match.
Much will be learnt from the individual and Team performances this afternoon...but positives and negatives alike can only benefit the future of our Club...It'll be vairy interestink !!.

Not sure it's that defining to be honest. It's probably the most predictable result all season ( or is it ).

Re: The early Swindon match thread ............
ASFC: Nicholls, Coid, Winnard, Nsiala, Liddle, Devitt, Murphy, Joyce, McIntyre, Amond, Lindfield.
Subs: Dunbavin, Barnett, Guthrie, Smith, Hughes
Toto's been cleared by Everton then. Looks like we're going for it. 4-4-2.
