Do the maths.
I presume Clark and Johnson are with us because they are under contract!!!
If they don’t sign contract extensions offered to them (which normally happens with good players),they can leave for nothing when it expires.
cashman and monkey hanger like this.

Who said there’s weren’t ?
Hence if you read my post there would be a fee involved.
Thank you for stating the obvious that players out of contract can move for nothing. Revelations every day.
Contract extensions are signed if the terms are acceptable.
Normally happens ? Only if the terms are acceptable.

You are quite adept at selective quotation. Football19 actually wrote "which normally happens with good players". Of course the terms have got to be acceptable - but the player has to be good enough to be offered those terms.

I now await the sarcastic reply.

Re: The Fleetwood game Thread

28,you stated “why do you think Clarke and Johnson are still with us”,
Because they are under contract was a reasonable reply!!!
Are you implying they tried to leave in summer?,hence your remark regarding the club wanting a fee ?
Have they been offered or signed a contract extension?,
Apologies if this has been covered in previous posts

Funny you should say that. Getting there was no problem but getting back was a different story! The 17.13 from Accy to Preston was cancelled (no driver available). So it was a mad panic to get to Birmingham in time for the last train of the day to Bristol.

Incidentally, regular users of trains will probably know that Northern Rail thinks that the first station west of Accrington is "Church and Oswaldtwhistle" and the pronunciation of Pleasington as "Pleesington" is a joke. I also note that there are no emergency telephone/communication facilities at Accrington station. But the trains are being repainted in pretty colours!

Forget HS2 and invest in local trains in the north of England.

But we got our 3 points so what did it matter??!!
