Merry Christmas?...is it really?...I've just discovered that there are no trains and Lancs United buses running on Boxing Day. So, despite being a season ticket holder, I will have to spend the afternoon sat in my local watching the scores come up. Christmas?...bah, humbug!

Hilda and I have no wish to join the doom & gloom merchants inhabiting the other threads at this time of year.

So to all football supporters, particularly far flung Stanley fans, Merry Christmas from both of us.

We're sure next year will see a change of fortune.
