Re: The New "Stanley 50 / 50 Draw"
I also saw this guy on the stands but when he walked past me and the rest of the stanley fans behind the goal he was dead quite, i suppose cammy shut him up with his huge roar of "half time draw tickets" he just waited then moved on after that so i have nothing wrong with the bloke but from what i have read this should be inquired into by the club

Re: The New "Stanley 50 / 50 Draw"
As my name's been mentioned a few times in this thread, i'll try to explain what's happened. When I arrived at the ground on Saturday expecting to sell 50/50 draw tickets, Rob asked me to sell programmes as I wasn't needed to sell tickets. I asked why and he said they'd got someone else to sell the tickets, so could Sam and I sell programmes instead. I wasn't particularly happy about this, so I asked Rob who was going to be selling tickets on the season ticket/complimentary gate (where I sell tickets). He said the new bloke would be selling tickets all round the ground. I spoke to Mick later and told him I didn't mind selling programmes, but what hurt was the way suddenly I'm not needed anymore and no-one bothered to tell me in advance. Apparently other clubs had been after this bloke and Stanley were lucky to have him. If, however, this bloke is making racist comments, then Stanley is anything but lucky to have him, it's just not acceptable. To be fair to Mick, he did apologise to me for what had happened and I accepted his apology. If I'm needed to sell programmes, I'll do it, I just want to help the club, whather it's by selling programmes or tickets. I just want to make sure that in future a little bit of thought is given to situations so that upset and hurt don't ensue!!!

Re: The New "Stanley 50 / 50 Draw"
Thats a more clear explanation..... I have to say you took it well then... It does seem a bit of a snub.. I hope it all gets sorted to everyones satisfaction soon.

Re: The New "Stanley 50 / 50 Draw"
Perhaps if the club insist on keeping this THUG on , we could organize a boycott of the halftime draw until they come to their senses and return to the status quo.

Re: The New "Stanley 50 / 50 Draw"
Nah thats childish,
If we as fans noticed, I'm sure the club has noticed and they will deal with it...

I said we should do it if the club did nothing.

Re: The New "Stanley 50 / 50 Draw"
Yes but if we decide to boycott the draw it would go against the club, and, the club will lose the money made from the draw so if we did that we would lose money.....
I think there will be some changes

Re: The New "Stanley 50 / 50 Draw"
A really worrying thing here is the deafening silence from Rob! He can usually be relied upon to give a reasoned explanation to the fans about what goes on at the club, so why not this time?

Re: The New "Stanley 50 / 50 Draw"
Because I just saw him heading towards Blackburn on the M65 on my way to work!
Hopefully they are busy with new additions to the playing squad, just boycott the half time draw till we get answers & buy more beer, two programmes, more pool, more goes on Stevens footie card etc
see you ALL there tonight
