Not a bad crowd either, 2652 according to Beeb and stats say Bratford did not have one shot on target throughout the whole match!!!!

Re: The not so quite late as it been lately Bradford thread
Talk about a contrast in fortunes !!!
Make no mistake the team where exceptional tonight. They really where un-recognisible from Saturday.
Cant fault any of them for effort & work rate, even Peter Murphy was pretty soild at Right Back. Hessey & Long looked soild as a rock at the back, heard a rumour that Miller was injured and he has gone back to Barnsley?????
Lindfield and Craney (YES CRANEY) also looked very hungry after coming off the subs bench, shows that Coley isnt afraid to change things round. Nat Taylor again for me made a decent contribution, his 1st touch is superb, once he masters beating the Left Back I think we could have a gem.
Murdoch had nothing to do almost all game but made 1 magnificent save in the first half.
But for me star man, Wes Fletcher, he dominated the 1st 45 mins, worked his balls off, trying to get the ball, laying it off, back to goal, proper good attacking midfield/ forward play. Fully deserved his goal, and his MOM award. What a debut!!!
Roll on the Vale on Saturday.

Spot on, Smudgie. Looks like we've got our long craved for fox in the box at last. Just hope Burnley don't get any forward injuries. Good to see Hessey gee-ing everyone up at the back. Lindfield looked like a player at last after being benched. Super night.

Hit the bar too.
Good all round performance. I said as soon as he scored he'd just won MOM, but to be fair there were a few contenders tonight.

Re: The not so quite late as it been lately Bradford thread
Vastly improved performance than on sat, defence were immense, all of em, Hessey n Winnard fer me the best of a good bunch, the substitutions were made at the right times in my view and 2 up front meant fer me the reason stanley kept the momentum fer the 90 mins, loved Fletcher the lad aint afraid to put his foot in,deserved his goal no doubt, the guy who got suspended wasn't missed at all, think a few more games together n hopefully another forward signed n this lot will be a force to be reckoned wi, who was the guy who posted that "Worried" Thread?

Re: The not so quite late as it been lately Bradford thread
100% improvement tonight great goal and deserved MOM for Fletcher, although thought Luke Joyce wasn't far behind his play tonight was outstanding,Hessey solid Murphy solid Long solid Winnard solid,Guthrie with Fletch up front was excellent and young Taylor good solid performances and will improve as the more games hehas,Proccy covered every blade of grass usual captain fantastic,Barnet was superb tonight ,Lindfield when he came on looked reborn vast improvement,Craney got stuck in and unlucky whith his long range shot,Murdoch not a lot to do really but when called to he snuffed any threat, couldn't figure out how stanley started ie what system JC was using but i think it was with a 4-4-2 system and changed to a 4-5-1 to finish the game,I'm a happy Stanley fan toght and long may it continue

Re: The not so quite late as it been lately Bradford thread
I agree with most posts on the performance tonight. The stand out players to me were all over the park. Good at the back, Hessey is a very intelligent player, Long did a great job keeping the striker and his later substitute quiet. Joyce good passing and link up play and had a shot saved by the keeper, Murphy impressed tonight. He helped run the clock down late on getting series of free kicks by advancing down the wing and inviting an unfair tackle from the Bradford defenders. Also simple passing in the attacking third. Wes, looked very promissing, great turn and shot in the first half, caused Bradford's defence all sorts of problems. Guthrie still worries me, he got batterd tonight in the first half. Not sure if Coley took him off because injured or just to protect him. Both Craney and Lindfield looked positive when they came on. Lindfield might have scored but his shot was a couple of feet over the bar. Very pleasing all round. However, we will play much better teams .......nice work in progress, well done Coley and Jimmy.

Bit of both, Guthrie got a knock late in the first half,he was sitting in the dugout with a icepack on his leg in second half..

Re: The not so quite late as it been lately Bradford thread
Much Improved performance last night pole opposite of Saturday, pride was restored with a robust performance everywhere on the pitch with everyone doing their bit Wes worked tirelessly up front and got his and Stanley's reward.
Nat Taylor again great energy and movement and will only improve more with time, nice to be able to look at the bench and say we have got options and so it proved with the substitutions.
Highlight of the night for me was hearing the Clayton End back in full voice and I am sure they played their part as well.
A big step up and shows if we play to our potential and change things around results will happen.

Re: The not so quite late as it been lately Bradford thread
Great to get a win. A great atmosphere. Well deserved MOM for Wes tonight. The difference today in winning for us. Hope we can keep him all season. Not too sure about Guthrie as his lack of experience certainly showed and the game was harder fought for when Lindfield and Craney came on.
