Re: The not so quite late as it been lately Bradford thread
Allelujah! At last Coley is using his substitutes effectively. Obviously he's been listening to the excellent advice he gets on here.

Re: The not so quite late as it been lately Bradford thread
Enjoyed the game tonight, full of effort, passion and desire, but i think a few posters on here are a little biased !!,so here is the slant on the game/performances of a friend/pro coach who i was talking to during and after the game.
Keeper was neat and tidy, but had nothing to do.
Well organised back four and looked comfortable in posession.
Proctor did a reasonable screening job, loads of effort, but a bit wasteful in posession.
Joyce, took a while to get into the game, but slowly got the better of flynn.
Barnett didnt look at the races in the first half, but slowly grew into the game, lacks pace for a wideman.
Young Nat is not ready for the step up(which is a problem with no resis games).
Predicted Gutherie wouldnt start the second half, and he didnt!!,off the pace, poor decision making, not upto this standard yet, unlike fletcher, who movement and work ethic he was impressed with.
I must admit i was agreeing with most of the above, indeed,we seemed to get a foothold in the game when Linfield came on and Craney was excellent on the ball.
PS Although Hessey was vocal i personally thought Long again was imense considering there height advantage at corners/set pieces real battler with a fair bit of skill

That did make me smile Redraine, but no it wasnt him !! .
I never mentioned Peter Murphy, who i thought was excellent on the night.
It would have been easy for him to just defend, but he showed great composure on the ball, and looking to be positive all night.
I said in a previous thread he wouldnt let anyone down, and he didnt, fair play to the lad

Highlights now on the BBC site: BBC Sport - Accrington 1-0 Bradford
Didn't get a good view of the goal from the Clayton End, but what a turn by Fletcher - it left Branston totally confused
