Re: The official Barnet match thread
Good Morning Chum and Chumesses, what a beautiful nights work I have just had in the knowledge that Stanley had secured a further 3 points towards safety. I see Rob has had a few too many and will no doubt be totally out of it at this evening meeting re open day. Oh well no change there then. Lets get 3 more against Stockport this coming Saturday and we will all be in seventh heaven. See you there

Re: The official Barnet match thread
I'm a Barnet fan and while I'm obviously not happy with the result yesterday, I thought that I must comment not only on the never say die attitude of your team, but on the sheer noise and persistence of the few of you that made the trip.
(This was the closest I could find to a drumming nana ). Your team looked pretty 1 dimensional if I'm honest. You try to hit your big bald skipper and look for Feetwood or Bocu to pick of the pieces. Fleetwood never seems to score against us, but often scores in the following game, (I think he bagged a hat-trick after the last time he played us, so you should have some fun come next weekend).
So anyway, your big bald skipper basically jumped into our defenders all game and the ref just seemed to let him away with it. Saying that, it's not a foul unless the ref blows his whistle so good on him. The ref was absolurely diabolical, but not just to us. He seemed to get just about everything wrong. The foul for your penalty was absolutely 100% a penalty. It wasn't for a hand-ball as one of the recent posters mentioned, it was for a big old push in the back at the back post. My only complaint is that the original pass to the crosser was when he was offside and only a a blindman could not have spotted it if he was in line. (Yeah I know you lot were at the other end of the pitch, I'm not having a go out you, just the idiot running the line and the ref .
So anyway, the penalty was given and slotted away nicely and you have the lead, probably against the run of play, but we weren't dominating either. I thought we stood off you far too much and if we had thrown more players further forward we would have opened you up. Maybe the lads were worried about the pace of Fleetwood and Bocu on the break. (By the way, I know your skipper has scored loads of goals for you over the years and is probably a bit of a cult hero, but I thought he was woeful). Just my opinion mind.
Anyway, we managed to get back on level terms just before HT and it wa sone of the few times that we committed men forward. I think it was instigated my our centre-nack Yakubu bringing the ball forward and over half-way and taking people on. While Yakubu looked to be the best Barnet player on show, (I honestly think he is capable of playing at a considerably higher level), he wasn't even close to getting my MOM vote. That is reserved for your young Polish keeper. I thought our keeper was pretty good, but your keeper was absolutely fantastic and saved 3 goal-bound shots in the 2nd half. He was simply brilliant.
I suppose a draw at HT was fair, but I'm sure your guys were upset at conceding so close to the break.
The 2nd half was simply shambolic. The ref seemed to completely lose the plot. Barnet had 3 penalty claims. The first was absolutely blatant. Cogan was brought down on the right of the penalty area and the ref then booked him either for diving or for complaining. Immediately after the same player seemed to go down very easily this time, (not even close to a pen in my opinion) yet the ref didn't book him this time! Then we had another on the left of the penalty area, (this again was blatant), and the ref again waived play on. So just when I though that the ref was plain cheating, he showed me how wrong I was by ignoring a blatant handball by our left back in our area and giving you nothing than a shake of the head. He wasn't biased. He was just plain useless.
To seal my poor opinion of him, he then sent of our stroker Hatchy for use of the elbow, while lying on the ground after one of your guys had gone right through him wuite late too. Now I'm not saying that Hatchy didn't move his elbow, I'm just saying that it was a load of nothing, as the lack of a reaction of your players confirms. The tackle was late and poor, but no more than a yellw, but a red for Hatchy???? I really don't think so, neither did your players.
It was now end to end stuff. I was surprised (and a little releived), when you took Bocu off, because he looked decent, but it seemed to work out for you as ou made your extra man count and Proctor finished really well. AT the time your keeper had just made 2 great saves and If I'm honest, I thought we were more likely to win. It wasn't to be though and it was all done and dusted right then. Your players were delighted and rightly so. It was a big 3 points for you.
The ref though wasn't finished though and decided to show Cogan a 2nd yellow, (he of the 1st yellow for getting hacked in the area). The 2nd yellow was fair I suppose, (I think it was just out of frustration). If I remember correctly he slid from a long way away and was never going to get the ball and took the trailing leg away from your guy. It wasn't dangerous or nasty. Just a foul. He could easily have let it ride, but seemed to want to be centre of attention again, so he showed him a 2nd yellow.
So anyway lads. Congrats on the 3 points. The performance of your drummer and your keeper alone probably deserved that at least. I think you are going to continue to struggle with that old warhorse up front, but good luck to you anyway. Was also quite impressed with your big baldy centre-half who was booked early doors and I had money on not lasting the game. He did well under the circumstances not to be caught out of positon again.
Final words. Top Polish Keeper and top top drummer and away support.
ps. What was your coach driver throwing a wobbly about outside the ground?

Re: The official Barnet match thread
That is one of the most honest appraisals I have seen from an home fan in many a year. Looks like the ref is a total ******. having seen the incidents on the TV this morning, I thought at first viewing the foul on Rocky was lucky, however if BarnetJimbo says it was stonewall then fair enough. However, I cannot see how he thought there was so many incidents in the second half as , in his own words, he must have been at the wrong end of the ground. Not the first time either that I have heard that Mullers was woeful, however, to be fair, he needs the protection of referees, not penalising as he often seems to be. I have watched him pulled, dragged and thrown to the floor and he never normally gets anything.

Re: The official Barnet match thread
We robbed Barnet if I'm being completely honest. A draw would've been harsh on them after their second half display. But we deserve some luck, considering some of the crap we've had this season with injuries and what-not.

Re: The official Barnet match thread
Hello everybody,
My name is Sebastiano and i live in Poland. First of all i am very glad that Accy won at Barnet in this difficult game. As you may know i registered here because of Przemysław Kazimierczak but not only. I always liked Accrington Stanley, i was supporting to You in the Conference and i am going also to support Accy in the League 2. I played many times Accy in the Football Managers and what can i say... i like Accrington and wish You all the best in L2.
I read some opinions about Przemysław Kazimierczak and i think he isn't playing bad for You. I saw the video from the game against Chester and think he made a mistake there but at Underhill he had no chance to save the shot and thanks God Accy scored twice. I am glad to see Kaz in a good form and hope he can even improve his skills at Accrington, he played regularly so far and am really hoping his loan will be extended for the rest of the season. I'd rather to see him atCrown Ground than in the second team in Bolton!

Re: The official Barnet match thread
Welcome Sebastiano, keep on coming back. Glad to see you are able to get the videos of the games Kaz is involved in. Nice to see we have support for whatever reasons in Europe and worldwide.

I echo Ozzys welcome, great that we have fans from around the world on here, and I look forward to more postings from yourself.
I think that when Kaz settles in here He will prove to be a huge asset to the club, He is still a little 'nervous' yet but I feel sure He will 'lose' that as He gets to know the Lads better.

A big welcome to the board Sebastiano and it is great to have an Accrington Stanley fan from Poland ! I think that Kaz played a great game at Barnet on Saturday and made some excellent saves - he certainly helped keep us in the game when Barnet looked sure to score. I am sure that Kaz will be very well looked after by all the lads and supporters of Stanley, and we are looking forward to seeing him play some more great games for us.
Incidentally, I was in Poland with my wife in 2005 on holiday, and it is a great country - a bit emptier now of course, because so many of you are over here ! We found the people very friendly, the food good, the weather excellent and the scenery and history very interesting - but the roads were terrible !!! lol
Congratulations too on your excellent English. I know a few words of Polish so I would like to say "Zyczymy ciebie wszystkiego najlepszego w Polsce !!!"

Best man...? Are we talking about the same 'two feet' Rodgers then? 'Cos he pulled the same stunt against Barnet, but only got a yellow for his lunacy. Get rid, I say. Dirty barsteward, and only an average player at best anyway.
