Re: The Pilgrims Match Thread

[QUOTE=Redraine;1152762] "Goodness knows what their manager was thinking taking him and their right winger off!" .... no other manager left his subs anywhere near as late as ours.. QUOTE]

C'mon, Redraine, who'd be a manager?
An away fan thinks our players shouldn't have been subbed and you seem to be complaining they weren't taken off earlier.
Sounds like best performance of the season from the team, thus far. I just wish I'd been there instead of wasting time watching the rugby.

Obviously, I wouldn't be calling for our two best players to be subbed, just a different approach earlier to get back on terms, at least.

I'm of the opinion, fresh legs are always welcome, given they have enough time to do summat. dont think its about who was subbed to be honest. that would be another issue imho

Re: The Pilgrims Match Thread

Yes, looking at the 'stats' does indicate that we were the better 'footballing' team. However, winning matches is simply about scoring goals! We still do not seem to have that elusive 'natural goalscorer' who just possesses 'THE KNACK' of getting tap ins and producing goals out of nothing!
We are just one player short of being a League two Championship winning team!
Looking at the BBC stats too, we only committed 10 fouls but had 4 players booked compared to Plymouth with 14 fouls and only 2 booked!
Hey ho.....
Here is to us SCORING some GOALS on tuesday!

Re: The Pilgrims Match Thread

we will get played off the pitch sometime this season and scrape a result against the run of play. that's football and that's why we get excited because you never know whats going to be on offer. would love to do dag and red next Saturday with a deflection off the ref in the 98th, min after being up against it all the game.

I'd rather be 4-0 up before that happened!
