Don't dispute that jase, just a good set of fans, but if they want to enforce the sitting, thems the rules, simple as.

One on one was McConville and I am still left wondering how on earth he manages to get in our squad!!!! That was not the only chance he had last night, though he was not on his own.

Re: The 'Stuffing of Leeds' match thread.
The lad I was with is a Leeds supporter. He became aware of my allegiance when he caught me in the colours at Garforth Station sneaking home from Halifax.
A police man he spoke to on the way out indicated that the Stewarding adopts a lower profile for the Millwall games.
He said that Stanley could have got 3 or even 4 on the night.

A bit unfair that. He was in on goal but from a sharp angle and the goalie was well positioned. The shot just missed the far post by a whisker. Miles's miss was far worse. I don't agree with DAV about Bobby Grant - I thought he was very wasteful in possession apart from one great cross, and his first touch let him down on a number of occasions. He seems to me to be much more effective when playing through the middle than on the wing, although he worked his socks off last night.
Stupid match report on the Leeds website - "the match wore on to it's inevitable conclusion" is just one example.
My MOM was Jimmy Ryan - hope there weren't many scouts there.

Re: The 'Stuffing of Leeds' match thread.
I was proud of our lads last night, maybe we gave them too much respect at times but how we didn't score in the closing stages I'll never know - shame the Leeds bouncers had to spoil things, when I complained to one at half-time he said 'You're a mickey mouse club & only used to mickey mouse stewarding' - absolutely charming!

Re: The 'Stuffing of Leeds' match thread.
Quote from Grayson...... "Over the course of the game Accrington had the better chances and were the better team and I'm not sure how we kept a clean sheet.
"We know we need to be better than that when we take on Southampton at the weekend because they will punish you.
Im happy with that to be honest.
In terms of the stewarding yes it was over the top but the problem last night was that people where crammed into 1 section with 2 or even 3 people for 1 seat which was absolutely ridiculous. Yes i sympathise with people who want to stand and support their team but whether we like it or not 1 seat = 1 person's ass to sit on!

Re: The 'Stuffing of Leeds' match thread.
Should've won it last night, but our finishing let us down, as it seems to sometimes on big occasions.
As for the stewards, Leeds fans don't seem too happy with 'em either.

Re: The 'Stuffing of Leeds' match thread.
I thought it was a pretty even game last nite but acci showed them to much respect in the first half , the highlight being snodgrass trying to bully winnard off the ball , big mistake!,and ended on the floor followed by a forearm,he soon swopped wings.
Thought the two centre backs and jimmy ryan were brillant and only kee and murphy seemed to struggle ( coleman soon recognised this) but they are young lads and will learn from it

Re: The 'Stuffing of Leeds' match thread.
The stewards were a disgrace, they must have had a quota to kick one fan out every five minutes.
They even kicked a half naked 'Susan Boyle' out.

Re: The 'Stuffing of Leeds' match thread.
the police and leeds fans that I spoke to last night were great. The Kop end of Elland road stood throughout the game and as one chap I work with tells me they stand for every game. If you make the whole of the stadium sit down then fair enough, how sad that 31 police and 4 police horses had to be at an Accrington Stanley match. I wonder if the costs will be deducted from the gate?
I shall end by saying that in church the vicar asks you stand when its time to sing.........................
