Good for you but you might find one or two more on this message board who support Stanley also.

Re: The unofficial official v Grimsby thread..

Clarke's a wimp, pure and simple. He's an expert at arriving second to virtually every ball and it was clear from the moment we signed him. I saw him at Barrow and he was never in the game, due to the two big centre-halves who out muscled him all afternoon.

He scored 3 yesterday (and 1 previously) and credit to him for that, but he's not the answer to any of our problems and I'll stand by that despite what others may (inaccurately) say.

if you [played to his strenghts instead of humping the ball up the park you would see the real player, he cant play well if all around him is

Re: The unofficial official v Grimsby thread..

Totally agree T. M. Clarke is not the answer, and Paul Mullin is begining not to be either.
We need to bring in a striker of proven worth, and don't ask where from, I don't know. That is down to the Manager and The Chairman.
The game yesterday was no different than the rest of the home games this season, only that is was against the poorest team in this division, we cannot sit back and think we are doing well or improving, because we are not. We will probably find out on Saturday just how poor we are. I hope Eric releases some funds to the Manager to strengthen the attack.

Substitute the word 'surprised' for the word 'disappointed' and you'll have a more accurate quote from me.
