Not at all I live in Massachusetts where the Redsox play and Stanley play in red socks so only my attempt at a play on words , as a sports fan who always ends up following crap teams for baseball I ended up as a Chicago Cubs fan having lived there for a few years

Felt like a pre-season friendly it was that hot
Massively pleased with a win, though a draw was probably a fair result, I dont envy those Shots fans travelling all the way back after losing.  Make no mistake we are still making some mistakes at the back, though Rankine (9) for them was a thorn in Hessey's and Long's side all game. Coid again for me looks a class apart, though I reckon he is 50% fit at the most, as is Fletcher who looked knackered after 45 minutes, not surprising with the heat. Most positive aspect for me for the 1st time in AGES was Craney who I thought had a very good second half!! Barnett's goal.......... what a strike Really pleased for him, and hopefully he can force his way into the starting XI, as for me he is a big asset when fit. Thought we had blown it when Amond missed that sitter, but the goal was a game winner!!!Looking at the league table is amazing, 1 win seperating 9th and 18th!! Just shows anybody can beat anybody else!! Really looking forward to the pie & peas again on Tuesday, hopefully Coley can shuffle the pack abit and give Bavs, Bender, Guthrie, Taylor etc a run out On Stanley On! |
